FAQ
How accurate are these exchange rates?
Rates are mid-market rates updated daily via public exchange rate APIs. They closely track rates you see on Google or Reuters. However, banks and money changers charge a spread (typically 0.5–3% for major currencies, more for exotic ones) on top of the mid-market rate. For large transactions, always confirm with your FX provider.
Which currencies are supported?
170+ currencies including all major fiat currencies — USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, AUD, CAD, CHF, HKD, SGD and many more. Cryptocurrencies are not included (rates too volatile for a daily update model).
What happens when the API is unavailable?
The tool tries multiple free API sources in sequence. If all fail, it falls back to a set of reference rates (accurate to within a few percent for major currencies) while clearly labelling them as offline estimates.
